Rachel’s yoga journey began when she reluctantly stepped into her first yoga class, healing from an injury and completely burnt out from life. Though she found herself extremely inflexible, she continued to practice, finding that despite her limitations, she could finally move without pain.
Rachel continued a dedicated practice, which has brought her deep healing and joy. Her desire to become a yoga instructor stems from a grateful heart, her belief that yoga heals the body, mind, and soul, and her experience that a truly devoted practice has the power to transform your life. She is passionate about sharing this with her students.
Rachel is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, with an additional 300 hours of continuing education and training , and has completed training in prenatal and post partum yoga therapy. Rachel is deeply grateful to have studied with Dee West, Maty Ezraty, and Amy Ipolitti, instructors who have inspired and informed her teaching.
Rachel’s alignment-based classes are creative and playful, where laughter is always highly encouraged. As a registered nurse, a former schoolteacher, and a lifelong student, Rachel infuses her deeper knowledge of health by weaving the mind-body connection into her teaching. She strives to empower students to raise their vibration; body, mind, and heart through the inward journey of having a dedicated practice that will help them build and access joy off and on the mat.
Rachel offers private lessons and specializes in yoga therapeutics for those working through injuries as well as prenatal and post partum yoga, and leads workshops and retreats. She hopes to practice with you soon!
